Chronology
Helen begins a passionate affair with a man who has no idea what her secret is. Finding herself in the crosshairs when her lover becomes a victim of London’s dangerous underworld, Helen’s employer turns to Sam to protect her. Bingo, the owner of the guitar store where Sam buys weapons, is played by Rhett Scabis, a member of The Damned.

A Tale of New York Written by Jem Finer, Shane McGowan Starring: The Pogues and Kirsty McCall. Besides, I already know that this is my favorite genre, and I will overlook any shortcomings that may arise. But when the dialogues in the first episode became slow, some moments lasted too long, and the walls with requests to conduct dialogues in the style of Quinten made me feel embarrassed, I tried to console myself.
I was wrong
Of course, they just develop the characters and set a unique tone. As the series dragged on, I realized that this series would not bring anything good. Not only disjointed, but with few or no characters that I actually find interesting.
I’m so sad about what could have been
To be honest, I don’t know how this magic happens, but I was deeply moved by the stories and characters in “Idle Horses”, “The Americans”, “The Bureau”, “The Diplomat” and even “The Old Man” – despite all their flaws. Add to that the lack of stakes and numerous flaws in basic details, and the ratio of annoying to intriguing becomes too high to be enjoyable. Yes, all the basic espionage elements are present in Black Doves, but somehow there was no salt in the recipe, and by E03 I had already increased the playback speed.
