It follows a group of military superhumans consisting of a human leader, a werewolf, a vampire, Frankenstein’s monster, and a gorgon.
Gunn then greenlit the project himself when he became CEO of DC Studios

This was the best start ever for a new franchise, with an unknown team full of misfits you have no doubt it was going to be bad, this was definitely an adventure you would want to see again and again, James Gunn has clearly established himself as the king of comic book adaptations, even for a team that was supposed to be for World War II, but this time in a heartbeat I will forever be indebted to him for another of his amazing creations and mind, I can’t wait to see what he has in store for us, giving us true DC justice no doubt I will be sitting front row at the movies and in the back of my chair at home, James Gunn if you see this I am 100% in #DCUFOREVER..
